The University of Lagos has achieved another stride earlier this week by breaking the record of being the first University to get a TV licence in the country.
According to a release by the school, the development of the Nigerian Broadcasting Commission granting the TV licence to the school to operate a TV station was confirmed by the Chairman, UNILAG Radio and TV, Professor Ralph Akinfeleye, on Thursday, November 9th, 2017.
It was also gathered, that the commissioning of the TV has been scheduled to hold on Saturday, November 11th, 2017 at the Biodun Shobanjo Multimedia Centre of Excellence, Department of Mass Communication, UNILAG.
The Vice Chancellor, Professor Rahamon Adisa Bello, under which this stride was achieved has on behalf of the management and senate congratulate the University community.
You will recall that the University of Lagos, being the school of First Choice and the Nation’s pride was also the first University to be granted a radio licence in the country.
