A Poem about Rape

10

By Oni Oluwalonimi

What do you gain when you do the unthinkable

What goes through your mind when you make your fellow human feels pain

You lack self-control

The instrument between your legs wasn’t given to you

To cause harm or inflict injury

When you engage in the gruesome act does your conscience

Not prick you?

And then your fellow rape apologists go about asking what she wore

They never deemed it fit to ask why you lack self-control

Why you weren’t trained properly

Why you felt comfortable treating girls like trash.

We are tired

We’re tired of not being comfortable even in our homes

We’re tired of looking back multiple times

On the street

We’re tired of being scared to go out at night

We’re tired of being the prey.

  1. Hiya! Quick question that’s completely off topic.
Do you know how to make your site mobile friendly? My website
looks weird when browsing from my iphone 4.
I’m trying to find a theme or plugin that might be able to fix
this problem. If you have any recommendations, please share.

    Appreciate it!

  2. Cool blog! Is your theme custom made or did you download it from somewhere?
A theme like yours with a few simple adjustements would really
make my blog shine. Please let me know where you
    got your design. Thanks

  3. An outstanding share! I have just forwarded this onto a coworker who has been conducting a little homework on this.
And he in fact ordered me dinner because I found it for
him… lol. So let me reword this…. Thank YOU for the meal!!
But yeah, thanks for spending time to talk about this
issue here on your web page.

  4. I constantly emailed this website post page to all my
contacts, because if like to read it then my contacts will too.
