UNILAG Students Protest Against ASUU Strike

Students of the University of Lagos (UNILAG) staged a protest against the incessant strike actions by ASUU on Monday, May 9th 2022.

The protest started at the university junction before the students conducted themselves in a peaceful manner and marched to the university gate.

Students carrying different placards with different inscriptions expressing their dissatisfaction of the industrial action embarked upon by the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) since on the February 14th, 2022.

The students have urged the government to do everything possible to end the 84-day ASUU strike.

“The students call the protest a warning protest and promise to return back to the street to protest if the strike persists.”

The ASUU chairman of UNILAG, Dr. Dele Ashiru came out in solidarity with the students.
