Technology Education’s team sweeps 4 years defending champions – Maths Education in HOD’s 16, with Capsule conceding his first goal in Four Years.

The seemingly unbeatable record that has been in existence for the past 4yrs has been broken as the Technology Education students sweep 4-yrs defending champion Mathematics Education 1 – 0 in the HOD ’16 match. It was indeed an unforeseen record breaker as the Mathematics Education never saw it coming.

The tournament which started on the 9th of August, 2016 saw Technology Education and Mathematics Education emerged eligible for the finals. The Technology Education players had initially played with Inter science Education resulting in 2-0 while Mathematics Education played with Physics Education resulting in 1-0 in the semi finals respectively before Technology Education a finally challenged Mathematics Education in the finals which now turned out in favour of the Technology Educaton with a flawless record. The Mathematics Education lost the match when their goal keeper fondly called “Capsule” who has never conceded a goal in 4yrs conceded goal for the very first time giving the Technology Education an edge over them.

While the Technology Education students, coach, players rejoiced over their success, the sports secretary the person of Mahruf Abdullah who was also a player for mathematics Education expressed his displeasure and disappointment together with the coach and other players having lost to Technology Education.

The match was a free and fair one as there were no serious casualties recorded despite minor injuries on the field. It finally came to an end about 6.40pm with the winners and runner up adorned with their gold and silver medals respectively.
