The Students’ Affairs Division of the University of Lagos at the Inauguration of the newly elected students’ leaders dismissed a rumour being peddled in the university community of a supposed plan of the division to pay class governors the sum of N25,000.
The Dean, Prof. Ademola Adeleke and the two Deputy Deans, Students’ Affairs, dismissed the rumour while responding to a question raised by one of the Inaugurated leaders who wanted to be assured that the money would be paid. The Dean further explained that the N25,000 endowment is for indigent student and that student leaders are not paid.
