CMUL ALUMNI CELEBRATE AND GIVE BACK TO THEIR ALMA MATA

On Friday, 15th of December, 2017 at the students hostel area of the College of Medicine, University of Lagos (CMUL/LUTH), the college officials and  alumni set ’87 gathered to commission the renovated Block 1 hostel – a project done to celebrate their 30years of graduation from the College.

Speaking previously with Dr Ogunleye, a senior lecturer and consultant CardioThoracic Surgeon in CMUL/LUTH, who is the Secretary of the Alumni Set ’87 Organising Committee for the 30 years celebration and renovation project; he gave an insight into the completed part of the renovation project, also stating that about 15million naira – raised and donated by himself and classmates of Set ’87 – was spent on the renovation of the bathrooms, toilets and repainting the Block 1 hostel.

Likewise, earlier in the month of October 2017, renovation began in Block 6 – Felix Dosekun (male hostel) and Block 5 – Awoluyi Abimbola (female hostel). This was done by the CMUL Alumni set ’77 who celebrated their 40 years of graduation from the college; the refurbished 4 rooms in the male hostel and 4 rooms in the female hostel were commissioned on the 10th of November, 2017 by the provost of the College of Medicine, University of Lagos – Prof F. E. A. Lesi among other staffs and members of the set in the college.

We felicitate with the Alumni Set ’77 and ’87, the school management and students, and also look forward to more of these renovations across the various blocks in the hostels and structures in the school.
